PaperBackSwap ROCKS.
I joined a few months ago and recently convinced my daughter and granddaughter to join. They both love it also.
I love to read but rarely found time. This website has me so excited that I have read 7 books since joining!
I also enjoy books on tape because I have a 30 minute commute and listening to books fills the time while allowing me to "read" books on my wish list. There are many books on tape available on this website. YAY!
What I love most about this site is the way it helped me to organize the books in my library. Both my daughter and I can see which books the other has so that we can swap & read the books on our reminder lists before passing them on to others in our family or posting them on the site. This has saved a few arguments also because with the "note" feature on each book posted we can document who we loaned it to. This works great for the books we have posted in the "To be read" & "Books I have read" categories.

The biggest problem with this website is that I am more addicted to checking in, searching for books, reading reviews etc. than I have been to actually reading. :-)

Useful and addictive. Saved aver $100 already ordering books for my teenage daughter who can't get enough of the books I'm getting her. At $3.50 a credit, and teenage books being around $12 average, I save a lot of money on this site. Not to mention the deals I get from various members in the Bazaar. GREAT SITE!

I love this site! I love passing on other excellent books to fellow avid readers. I just joined two weeks ago and have several book requests. I've also been able to find books on this site that are hard or even impossible to find elsewhere.

I am addicted to PBS! Not only is it cost effective, it is a great way to recycle books and minimize storage space in my house. Once I finish a book, I can just send it on to another member! No more books stored away in mystery boxes or left to gather dust on a shelf.

This site is pure genius, I tell ya!

(BTW, if you think PBS is awesome, you should try the DVD link right up there.)

I read about this site (and others) in a newspaper article about online book swapping. I have been a member for a little over two years and in that time I've sent out 140 books. I love this website! I was skeptical at first about wrapping the books in a paper wrapper, but it does work. You can even use resume paper for extra strength! Sometimes my mother gives me books to trade (she's been known to throw out books, which I could never do). I've accumulated a lot of books from library sales and from buying books new, so it's good to trade books that I'll never read and get some that I hope to read. I used to think that I'd keep most of my books forever, but this site is an incentive to read books once and then trade them, especially if you don't think you'll ever read them again. You never know what book someone may want.

I'm a picky reader and I choose most of my books from my wishlist once they're available. I like the fact that a book will be held 48 hours for you. I find books that I'm interested in from the Mystery Guild and Amazon, and then put them on my wishlist.

As others have said, you do save money, especially since the paperbacks I read are $6.99 or $7.99 and hardcovers even more. So $2.23 for a book is a lot cheaper. A lot of the books, if not most, I receive are in great, almost new, condition. I plan on being a member of PaperBackSwap forever!

I've been a member for over three years now.. I write R & R (now, sadly, just R) a lot, and they are ALWAYS helpful and look up answers for me. I love so many features on this site. One of my favorites is the Vacation Hold, so that when I travel I don't have to unlist each and every book... attached to that is the enjoyment of their "Mail to other address" feature, so if I am away on orders (I'm Military) I can still get books sent right to me... AND what better way to order a book for a friend? I don't even have to receive it at home, then pay to ship it out again. PBS ROCKS!!

You read it in all the other testimonials, and it's true...PBS is a fantastic site. What other book swap or trade site can you find that has so many great features, is fun and informative? I say none other than PBS. You can find books you want and books you never thought of reading...I have, several times over. Using the sites unique features can help you find books you might have otherwise missed. PBS is my addiction.

When I joined Paperbackswap, the available books were around 600,000. I have enrolled in box of books, and journal options for two plus years. My reading levels have expanded due to the exposure to so many more authors than I could ever experience if I had to pay retail for books. I have now ventured into swapping DVDs (using a bunch of ones that I had no interest in that were abandoned by my now grown son). I had immediate trades of 5 or 6 DVDs, with my posting list rather small. This site rocks, and I am a confirmed member for life!

I know you have heard it before but I LOVE this site!! I joined over a year ago but only posted books about 6 months ago and in that time I have sent out 99 books and received 60 more. I have spent approximately $223 on postage for the 99 books I sent out, but even if I paid only $6 per book retail I would have spent $594 on those same 99. By using PBS I have saved way over $371 in just 6 months!!!! Considering I read 3 to 5 books per week the savings really adds up. Not to mention this is a way to share those great reads with others! If you are a reader, you really have to try it!!!

Thank you PBS! I am disabled and cannot go to the book store as I would like to. I know there is Amazon, but who needs Amazon when you have thousands and thousands of books at your disposal with reviews on each by its readers to also help make your decision! I LOVE PBS!!! I LOVE PBS! I LOVE the Wish List! I live in a rural area, work full time and have some health issues, which limits my book finding options. So often I would look for used books because if I read something by an author I really like, I want to read everything they wrote. We have a good library, but they do not have all the authors I may want to read. PBS gets me the books I want, saving time, energy, and money.

I just love PBS! I go to the store and browse the book section. When I find one I'd like to read, I just write down the ISBN number and come back to PBS to see if it's available. I can't tell you how much money I've saved doing this. Keep up the good work PBS!

This is a great site! I work in a hospital and when I see real "readers" (and you can always tell who they are) I always recommend this site to them. I know how much time some of them have to be in hospital - on their own or with loved ones - and they are always so excited and amazed when I tell them about PBS. I have received emails from some of the patients thanking me. Reading is a joy for me and it is great for me to be able to recommend PBS - it has changed many lives and saved us countless dollars!
